Not only at Quang Tri General Hospital but many other medical facilities in the area also fell into a situation of “crisis” and lack of medical gloves.
The Department of Health of Quang Tri province also confirmed that the supply of medical gloves for medical facilities in the province used for the year 2020-2021 is done by 3 contractors, the Provincial International Pharmaceutical Company Limited. Dak Lak, Lan Tien Pharmaceutical Company Limited in Quang Tri Province and Hoang Duc Pharmaceutical Company Limited in Quang Tri Province.
However, due to the Covid-19 translation leading to a scarce commodity, these 3 companies applied to cancel the contract and received the consent of the People’s Committee of Quang Tri province; At the same time, the Department of Health was assigned to work out a plan to adjust the bidding package for re-bidding. While waiting for the new package, the Department of Health of Quang Tri suggests the above companies continue to try to provide medical gloves for the hospitals. Therefore, companies have tried to source and supply to medical facilities but in a drip-free fashion.
Mr. Ha Lam Chi, Deputy Director of the Department of Health of Quang Tri province, said that following the instructions of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Department has implemented the bidding according to regulations, next week will open the bid.
